We are Looking for Loc Models

This is an official invitation to our 2026 models application.

Since inception, we have had a tradition of having loc models every year. This has been a way for us to showcase our growth and the new services we offer.

We invite people to share their loc journey publicly with us. We work with people new to locs. And journey with them from loc consultation through to their first loc anniversary.

If you’ve been looking for an intentional way to start your loc journey, this may be the right fit.

We’re currently welcoming a small group of models to take part in upcoming installs, studio sessions, and content days at TressesbyK.

This is not rushed work that serves only to showcase neatly tied locs. And it’s not a freebie service either. We also won’t be using our models as practice heads.

Becoming our model means you get guidance, thoughtful care, and careful loc handling.

As our loc model, you receive:

Intentional, professional care from start to finish

A guided loc journey (no guessing, no confusion)

Extra time and attention during installs and sessions

Documented progress so you can see your growth

A calm, respectful studio experience

Practical hair education you can use long-term

Confidence from starting your locs the right way

This Opportunity Is Best For You If You:

  • Are aged 20–50

  • Have natural, unrelaxed hair

  • Have a minimum of 6 inches of hair length

  • Are comfortable with your photos and videos being shared online

  • Live within 1 hour of Kettering or are happy to commute

  • Are open to longer studio days during installs and content sessions

    To keep things fair, this opportunity excludes anyone who has previously had a consultation with Tresses.
